Hairy Bikers in Accrington

On Saturday morning my brother and I headed over to Accrington for the 11th Annual Lancashire Food Festival. We got there at 9.30am just in time to bump into the Hairy Bikers who were there to open the show.

My brother managed to get his cookbook signed before we headed into the festival to nibble on the free samples and spend some (lots of) money on the delicious local produce available.

We were lucky enough the also get in to the live demonstration by the bikers. I say lucky as it was that busy they had to close the barriers to the event to prevent the hundreds of people queuing to get in causing a riot as there were only 100 places available in the demonstration theatre.

They cooked some food, of which I can't remember much (I remember salmon) as most of it seemed more of a comedy double-act rather than a cookery demonstration! I don't really need to worry about missing the actual recipes as they are on "Saturday Kitchen" in a couple of week doing the same food.

Oh, and no, that's not me on the right of the picture but my brother!
