In my Liverpool home...

As a Scouser I know that it is not often that my home city is associated with good press, so it makes a refreshing change that this weekend saw the official launch of Liverpool's  European Capital of Culture Year. Despite what people might think Liverpool is a great place, to live and visit, with a personality that is hard to match. A recent trip on the ferry brought it home to me just how much work and investment has been put into the City and how proud the City should be of it's unique qualities.

From Anthony Gormley's ‘Another Place’, made up of 100 cast-iron firgures on Crosby beach ( I'd recommend a sunny winter/spring morning to get the best uninterrupted view) through to the many festivals, galleries and Arts events on throughout the year Liverpool is a must-see destination.
